These are not contradicting each other. They are measuring different things in different units on different equipment, and almost nobody says which. Here is the untangled version.
The Units Problem
Three different quantities get called "punch power," and mixing them is why the internet's numbers look insane.

Force is mass times acceleration, and the practical version for punching is: how much of your body mass you commit, moving how fast, at the instant of contact.
